Basic overnight boarding starts at $48 per night for one dog, with a multi-dog discount when dogs from the same household share a villa. Group play can be added by the day, and Deluxe boarding adds daily one-on-one time and a short video for $25 a night on top.

Every boarding dog receives a complimentary outdoor potty break at approximately 10:00 p.m. This final late-night break helps dogs settle comfortably for the night without having to wait until morning.
At other facilities which are indoor-only, dogs are expected to relieve themselves inside. Puppies may find this confusing while developing good house-training habits, and well-trained adult dogs may try to hold their urine because they have learned not to potty indoors. At Happy Pets Palace, dogs receive plenty of opportunities throughout the day—and again at approximately 10:00 p.m.—to use our real outdoor yards, helping them maintain the healthy potty habits they follow at home.
Happy Pets also offers live webcams so families can watch their dogs participating in group play from anywhere with internet access. For even greater peace of mind, parents may upgrade to a Camera View Villa for +$10 per night. This provides 24/7 viewing access, allowing you to see your dog during group play and while they are relaxing in their private villa for meals, rest, and overnight sleeping.
Parents can also personalize their dog’s stay by adding their choice of regular group play or extended group play, depending on their dog’s personality, social preferences, and energy level.

What to Know Before Your Dog Boards With Us
What follows is the practical detail: hours and holiday charges, dog boarding requirements, discounts, what to pack, and our cancellation terms.
Two of them catch people out more than the rest. The boarding vaccination requirements in Arizona, where rabies and distemper must be current and dogs must be spayed or neutered by two years old. And the cancellation window, which is 48 hours before the first night. Read those two, then skim the rest.

Hours, Check-In and Holidays
- We are open every day, 365 days a year, including holidays and weekends for you to pick up or drop off overnight boarding dogs.
- Check-in time is as early as 6AM Monday – Friday, and 8AM on weekends and holidays. We do not charge extra for early drop off for check ins.
- We do charge a $20 convenience charge to have our lobby open for pick-up on six major holidays versus being closed. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Holiday hours apply 8:00 am – 10:30 am or 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

- Multi-dog discount shown above in the pricing table only applies when dogs from the same family sleep in the same villa.
- 5% discount for extended stays, 11 consecutive nights or more on overnight boarding rate. Cannot be combined with any other discounts.
- U.S. Military (Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Reserves) – Present your Military ID to receive a 10% discount off boarding and full price daycare. No Military discounts on bathing services, add-ons, afternoon check outs. No Military discount on already reduced daycare packages. MUST SHOW U.S. GOVERNMENT ISSUED I.D. TO RECEIVE MILITARY DISCOUNT.
Food and Feeding
- Bring your own food for your dogs. This keeps your dog’s diet consistent during their stay. High energy dogs burn more calories in dog-dog group play so bringing a little bit of extra food for each meal would be beneficial. Also, consider packing an extra day’s worth of food and/or medication just in case your travel plans get delayed.
Health and Vaccination Requirements
- All dogs must be current on rabies and distemper.
- All dogs must be neutered/spayed by 2 years old.
- We do not make flea/tick applications mandatory. We do expect all dogs to be flea and tick free.
Screening and Group Play
- All dogs coming for boarding or daycare must pass our pre-screening evaluation to make sure they are non-aggressive and appropriate for group play. All dogs must maintain good standing. If your dog has not been at our facility for two or more months, we highly recommend a daycare day prior to an overnight boarding stay to help familiarize your dog with the facility.
- We reserve the right to limit or refuse group play to any dog showing signs of short temper, over correcting other dogs, or any signs of aggression.
Payment and Cancellation
- Cancellation Policy – We require cancellation notification of a boarding reservation at least 48 hours prior to the first-day boarding stay. An amount equal to one night’s stay will be charged if notification is not received within this time frame.
- We accept Cash, Check, Visa, American Express, Master Card & Discover. A NSF charge of $25 applies to any returned checks / bounced checks.

What Should I Pack for My Dog?
Please pack your dog’s regular food for the entire reservation plus at least one additional day of meals. Flights can be delayed or canceled, travel plans can unexpectedly change, and your dog may need to remain with us for an extra night. Packing additional food helps us maintain your dog’s normal diet without an abrupt food change.
Also consider how active your dog will be during their stay. High-energy dogs participating in regular or extended group play may burn more calories than they typically do at home. Their normal portions may not be enough during several days of active play and exercise. If appropriate for your dog, consider packing slightly larger portions or additional food, following any guidance from your veterinarian.
Please include clearly labeled feeding instructions, medications, and treats. We can refrigerate or freeze fresh and raw diets to help maintain your dog’s usual routine. Parents may also bring appropriate bedding and a safe favorite toy. Happy Pets Palace provides food and water bowls, raised beds, and cozy fleece blankets, so there is no need to pack bowls.

Yes, we do allow dogs from the same household to eat and sleep together. We can also accommodate eating meals separately but still sleeping together at night, if necessary. If there is a new dog in your family and you aren’t sure how they will do together boarding, then please be safe and request them to sleep separately until you can be 100% sure that they will do fine together. Even if they sleep separate at night, if they are similar in size then they will most likely be in the same play group during the day so your new dog will still be able to spend time with your other dog(s).
Please bring your dog’s food and treats. If you want precise feeding quantity, then have each meal packed in a separate baggie. We do use standard measuring cups. If an occasional heaping measurement is fine, then you can bring in a large bag of food for the entire stay instead of individual baggies for each meal. Allow for one extra day of food in case your travel plans change. If your dog has a special bed or favorite toy, you can bring it. If your dog sleeps with you at night, you may want to bring something that smells like you, like a sweatshirt or towel. We will be happy to include it on their bed. We provide a raised Kuranda beds, fleece blanket, and food and water bowls.

Our Mesa and Chandler locations do not have overnight staff, but we do have staff come in at 10PM to check on all the dogs and give every overnight boarding dog a late-night potty break at no extra charge. We do have a monitored security system as well as live 24/7 webcams, which pet parents can also view.
Emergency veterinarians are within a few miles of either location.
Yes, we give medications and insulin and we do not charge extra for this service. We keep your dog on their daily medication routine as prescribed by your vet. If insulin injections are required, we need the times to coincide with our hours of operation.
Yes. We are open when every other company is closed. However, we do charge a $20 convenience charge to have our lobby open for pick-up or drop off on major holidays versus being closed. Holiday hours apply 8:00 am – 10:30 am or 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Boarding dogs do still have daycare group play on holidays and follow our Sunday schedule

We accept dogs in all stages of life. We welcome senior pups and often see them perk up and become “young again” after spending quality time around their friends. However, if your senior dog has difficulty standing on their own, is incontinent, prone to anxiety or stress, or in poor health, we recommend at-home pet sitting or boarding with a vet. Even with extra rest, our boarding environment can be too much for older dogs, and we want them to be as comfortable as possible while they’re away from home.
